AST SpaceMobile aims to directly connect ordinary mobile phones to a space-based cellular broadband satellite network. This means that you could get online from almost anywhere you are located — without any modifications to your device.
Our goal is to improve the connectivity of our global community through a space-based cellular broadband network. This means targeting our mobile network operators’ current subscribers and individuals who live in areas that have little to no coverage.
Working in conjunction with our partners, our skilled team of engineers and space scientists have leveraged state-of-the-art technology to bring our mission to life by creating a more interconnected global community.
Our test satellite, BlueWalker 3, is built with flat phased-array technology. The 693-square-foot array consists of thousands of antennas designed to work together to communicate with phones on the ground.
